EMT Conduit ERW GI Pipe 4 5 Inch Hot Dip Galvanized Iron Steel Tube 3 Inch Galvanized Galvanizado Acero
Electrical Metallic Tubing is a piping system designed specifically for electrical installations. It is usually made of galvanized steel, with a circular cross-section and smooth inner wall, used to protect wires and cables, and facilitate the routing of lines. Using thin-walled galvanized steel strip as raw material, it is rolled and formed through cold bending process, with a wall thickness usually between 0.8-1.6mm. Its surface is smooth, and both the inner and outer walls are covered with a zinc layer, which has good corrosion resistance. However, its strength is relatively low and it is prone to deformation due to external forces.
EMT conduit is mainly suitable for electrical wiring in dry indoor environments, and is commonly used for laying indoor decoration electrical conduits in light commercial and residential buildings. Its rigid structure can provide physical protection for wires and keep the circuit clean and orderly.
1. EMT is the thinnest type of conduit in the American standard, with a typical thickness range of 0.85mm to 2.11mm, suitable for non mechanical damage environments
2. Galvanized anti-corrosion, the inner and outer surfaces of the pipe body are treated with hot-dip galvanized layer, and some products are also coated with transparent protective layer, which has excellent corrosion resistance
3. Through deburring process, the inner wall of the weld seam is smooth and flat, reducing friction during cable laying and avoiding scratching the insulation layer of the cable
4. The pipe end does not have threads, and quick installation is carried out using a tightening type (fastening type) connector or a dedicated crimping joint
5. Mainly used for commercial or civil building electrical wiring in dry and indoor environments, not suitable for direct burial or humid places (such situations require the use of thick walled pipes such as SC)
